"Peace" Dog Tag Necklace
Nicole always saw the good in people and in the world in which we live. She wanted this world to be a peaceful one. Nicole’s endless optimism left a lasting impression on everybody who knew her. Those who surrounded her just wanted to be more like her. After the death of our two closest friends, we felt it was only appropriate to put all of our emotions toward a cause that supports everything Nicole and Carol Kestenbaum stood for. We designed dog tag necklaces with a peace sign in the middle. The peace sign evokes the image of a world that is blessed with the happiness and goodness that Nicole and Carol embodied every day of their lives. It is our hope that every person that wears one of these necklaces, or sees someone else wearing one, will take a moment out of their day to think about two wonderful young women, and to think about making the world a more peaceful place. We are convinced that something positive can come out of this tragedy that has so deeply impacted our lives. Since March, the necklaces have been sold on college campuses and in cities across the country. From the very beginning, the support was overwhelming. The tremendous success of the peace necklaces truly shows the countless lives that Nicole and Carol touched with their genuine compassion.
